BET Awards Hits & Misses (Fashion Recap)

BET Awards Hits & Misses (Fashion Recap)

Hey divas, who saw the BET Awards last night? The show itself wasn’t bad as a whole just annoying at certain times. My #1 gripe was that I don’t understand why  rappers insist on performing the explicit version of their songs if viewers at home can’t enjoy it because of all of the censored silence. It’s really annoying as a viewer! I don’t understand why they just don’t perform the radio versions of their songs so that the home viewer can actually enjoy the performance. Samuel L Jackson as a host was a BIG miss for me. I understand that BET is trying to make their show bigger & better by going for an A-list celebrity to host, but he just didn’t really do it for me. He had a few funny moments, but I think that the formula of using a celebrity comedian to host is best for BET. Comedians just have a way of having the show move along without trying to hard. I wish that they would have used Kevin Hart again, but who knows…maybe next year. The only performances that stuck out to me was during the Whitney Tribute. I really don’t remember any others. Monica did a good job singing I Love the the Lord, but there is just something anointed about Whitney’s version. I know that no one can ever sing a song the way Whitney did so we shouldn’t compare, but since I Love the Lord is one of my absolute favorite  Whitney songs, I just had to mention it.  Brandy, Brandy, Brandy…she slayed last night!!! (more on that later). When Whitney’s...

Hey divas, I often get asked many questions about Christian Louboutin shoes (even though I am in no way a Louboutin expert), so since I am not able to answer everyone’s questions in a timely manner, I decided the best way to answer a bulk of the questions was to just post a video answering the top 10 questions that I get asked the most about the brand. I hope this answers many of your questions, but if you still have any questions that were not answered in this video, please feel free to leave them...
Black Barbie & Ken's Traditional Nigerian Wedding

Black Barbie & Ken's Traditional Nigerian Wedding

One of my lovely subscribers (Andrea) sent me a link on FaceBook to this website and said that she instantly thought of me when she checked it out, so I decided to check it out as well….and fell in love with these pictures.  OMG!!! I literally stared at the pictures for about an hour, just amazed at the attention that was paid to detail. The images are from a website called  PhotographybyObi; well Obi you are a true artists. Your pictures did exactly what art is supposed to do…evoke emotions. I don’t know if I was so in aww of the pictures because I am Nigerian and had a somewhat Nigerian wedding or if it was the amazing attention to detail that had me so mesmerized. Regardless of what it is, I must say that I am truly impressed. If you have never been to a traditional Nigerian wedding also known as engagement (this is not the same as the church wedding; the traditional wedding is usually held the day before or a few days before the church wedding), check out these pictures! This is exactly how it is done. I’ve been to quite a few traditional Nigerian weddings and can honestly say that nothing in these pics are exaggerated or understated.  Well done Obi!   Please check out his website to see more of his detailed work, it is truly...

Beauty Tuesday- MAC Matchmaster SPF 15 Foundation Review :-)

Beauty Tuesday- MAC Matchmaster SPF 15 Foundation Review :-)

Now that I’ve actually been using the 8.0 for about a month now. I think that I’m actually going to go and get a sample of 8.5 and see which one I prefer. If the SA was off the first time, I figure that it wouldn’t hurt to try a shade darker and see how that one matches. If it doesn’t work, no harm no fowl; I’ll just keep using my 8.0. Sometimes we have to take things into our own hands just to be absolutely sure :-). Have you tried the MAC Matchmaster foundation? If so, what are your...
