Style-ized (Trend Alert): Checkered Print Skirt (Requested)

Style-ized (Trend Alert): Checkered Print Skirt (Requested)

Hey divas, I hope you all had a fabulous weekend I received some requests to do a Style-ized video showing how I would style my black & white checkered print skirt from Asos. I also received a couple of requests on how to style a black and white hounds-tooth print pencil skirt as well. Although I don’t own a black & white hounds-tooth print pencil skirt, this Style-ized video can work for that as well. If you for some reason have been living under a rock and don’t know, black and white is a HUGE trend this season (although in my book, the classic combination can be worn all year ’round and always looks super chic and fresh). It was seen all over the runways especially on the Louis Vuitton Spring/ Summer runway in Paris.   These are just some fun and easy summer looks. I hope you like them How would you style this...

Style-ized: The Pencil Skirt (7 Ways for 7 Days)

Hey Divas I hope that you had an amazing week and if you didn’t, make up for it over the weekend ;-). I know that it’s been a while since I brought you a Style-ized video, but since I’m trying to get back into a rhythm of posting more frequently…I had to bring it back. I am a person that believes that there are certain wardrobe staples regardless of your personal style that every diva must own. One of those staples is a black pencil skirt. A black pencil skirt is super versatile and appropriate for so many situations. It isn’t just for corporate environments anymore. You can look at it as a blank canvas to dress up or dress down. The options are limitless and the choice(s) of how you wear it is where you allow your personal style to shine. If you would like to see 7 ways that I style the pencil skirt, watch below…. I hope you divas liked it Now this was some of my personal ways of styling the black pencil skirt, how would you style...
Style-ized (Quickie): Sequins, Sequins, Sequins!!!

Style-ized (Quickie): Sequins, Sequins, Sequins!!!

Hey Divas Can you believe that we are at the end of the year already? It seems like the older you get, the quicker time passes by! Anyway, I hope that you all are enjoying your New Year’s weekend. I know this video is a little late, but I hope that you can still find it somewhat helpful. This video is dedicated to one of my personal diva essentials…SEQUINS!!!! (lol). If you are a diva that has always wanted to try sequins, but was a bit intimidated by it, New Year’s Eve is the perfect occasion to go for it. When done right and worn by a confident diva, sequins is extremely glamorous, but when done wrong…it can appear gaudy and dated. I hope that this video will give you some inspiration when wearing your sequins tomorrow night, but if you are a true diva, then you already know that sequins isn’t just relegated to New Year’s Eve, but is totally appropriate all year long :-). I just wanted to take this time to say a HUGE Thank you to all of you wonderful divas that have supported my channel, my blog, and me since the beginning and throughout this past year. A lot of you have encouraged me without even realizing it when I need it most. Like everyone else, I get moments when I am down and even moments off self doubt, but every time that I read your comments, tweets, emails, etc. it always manages to warm my heart. I know that I have said it before, but sometimes we truly have no idea what a...
Style-ized 12 Days of Christmas- Day #2 (Holiday Date Night- Dinner & a Show)

Style-ized 12 Days of Christmas- Day #2 (Holiday Date Night- Dinner & a Show)

Hey divas, I hope that you’ve found some joy in your weekend so far :-). I know that I was supposed to post a Style-ized video for outfit #2 of the Style-ized 12 Days of Christmas series, but I was running so late for date night with hubby that I only had time to take a few pictures and not any video for Day #2 :-(. Day #2 of 12 is “Holiday Date Night”. I decided to keep the color palette pretty simple with this outfit (basic black and white) with a pop of color for the belt; you can never go wrong with a pop of red for the holidays (it reminds everyone of Santa lol!). While I was trying to decide what to wear, I came across this bodysuit and immediately built my outfit around it. When I ordered the black & white print bodysuit, I knew that I was going to wear it this holiday season. I loved the bold black & white print with the silver & black polka dot embroidery around the edges. Once I saw the polka dot embroidery, it reminded me of my omnicron polka dot heels; I thew in a classy but sassy knee length peplum skirt to balance the strapless top and there was my outfit! Some people might look at it and wonder whether it makes sense to wear a strapless top in the Fall/ Winter season, especially in NYC, but I say why not?! That’s why we have scarves, coats, and cars lol!…but seriously, as long as you have the proper layers to throw over your outfit, we...
Style-ized 12 Days of Christmas- Day #1 (Holiday Brunch w. Friends)

Style-ized 12 Days of Christmas- Day #1 (Holiday Brunch w. Friends)

Hey Divas, with all that has happened yesterday I hope that we are all taking the opportunity to squeeze our loved ones a bit tighter and letting them know how much they really mean to us. My heart and prayers goes out to all of the families affected by yesterday’s massacre in Ct. We will never truly understand their pain, but I pray that the Lord will comfort them and give them a peace beyond all understanding. I know that it has been a while since I posted new videos on my YouTube channel, but I am going to make up for it. Since we are officially in the holiday season and Christmas being 12 days away, I will be posting a special Style-ized Holiday Series, “12 Days of Christmas”.  In this series, I will post an ootd per day sharing with you how I would style dressing for different occasions during the holiday season (ex. office holiday party, dinner with significant other’s family, New Year’s Eve party, etc.) . For day 1, I decided to keep it chic and casual for a “Holiday Brunch with Friends” featuring my printed leopard pants. Even though it is a bold print, leopard print also works very well as a neutral, so pairing it with Christmas reds, greens, & golds is a great way to add a diva flare to your holiday outfit.
