Hello Lover: YSL Licorice :-)

For the next several months, I am challenging myself to spend a little less on clothing and invest more in quality accessories. When I say quality accessories, I mean pieces that can stand the test of time and still look chic for many seasons/ years to come. I’ve come to realize that more often than not, it is the accessories that not just translates your personal style, but they can also instantly elevate and complete the total look of an outfit.

One accessory that I have had my eye on for well over a year is the black patent Yves Saint Laurent Belle Du Jour Clutch. There is something that is so chic, timeless, yet current about this clutch; not to mention how versatile it could be from pairing with jeans to a cocktail dress. I was able to get my hands on the red patent clutch earlier this year, but the black has proven itself illusive… until now!

The reason that I actually stepped into the YSL boutique was because I was trying to track down a pair of black patent Tribute sandals that caught my eye a few months ago. During that time, I took advantage of the end of season sale and purchased the red patent instead because they were on sale. I was and still am sooo happy with that purchase because they really are the most comfortable stiletto sandals that I own; because of that, I knew that I had to get a hold of the black pair for more versatility.
