Hey Divas, How was your weekend? I hope it was fantastic and relaxing at the same time
.
This Saturday hubby and I were invited to attend the wedding of one of his friends in Upstate New York. I originally planned to wear something else (my black origami peplum dress that I featured in my Asos Haul video), but the scorching weather had other plans. One thing about being a diva is that you definitely must know how to adapt for various weather conditions so that you always appear divalicious (lol)!
People must never see you sweat (literally and figuratively). The black dress is gorgeous and I purchased it with this wedding in mind, but the reality is that if I would have worn it, I would have been sweating like a pig because even though the dress is strapless, the material is a bit thick. Thank goodness that I had this lightweight and beautiful amethyst dress in my closet (it was actually sent to me from Wagworld over a month ago, but I hadn’t had the chance to review it yet). It was a style saver because I knew that I wanted to wear a dress that was chic, sexy, glam, but not over the top since it was an afternoon wedding. Once I decided to go with this dress, I knew that I had the perfect shoes siting in my closet. I don’t wear them nearly as often as I would like (they are actually one of my least worn pairs), but I knew that they would be the perfect compliment to the dress (besides, I never pass up a good reason to wear glitter! lol)
