This week’s Style Spotlight focuses on the editor-at-large and creative consultant of Vogue Japan, Anna Dello Russo. She’s basically the Anna Wintour of Vogue Japan title wise, but besides their titles and first names, the similarities between them are very slim. Anna Dello Russo is often referred to as the Lady GaGa of fashion, as well as a fashion fanatic. She worked at Vogue Italia for 18 years before editing L’Uomo Vogue between 2000 and 2006. She is now the editor at large and creative consultant for Vogue Japan (as previously mentioned).
ADR (as she likes to refer to herself) is quoted saying, “I like to wear evening outfits in the sunlight.” I love that about her because so do I (lol). She has definitely injected some fun and unexpected elements to the often cold and bland world of fashion. Her personal mantra is, “I don’t want to be cool. I want to be fashion!”
